Many witches are drawn to the Moon, and sometimes for good reason! In my beliefs, the Moon holds a particular type of energy that can be used to help fuel my spellwork. This energy waxes and wanes, just like the phases of the Moon herself, and the associations of each phase are different. A Full Moon, though, has the most potent, all-encompassing energy of all the phases.
Join me in this ASMR-style video of an altar cleaning and cleansing 💖 Just as my garden went dormant, so too did my altar space. This happens and it’s okay. It had been a while since my altar saw any attention. Random objects had made their home on the surface, dust settled in, and so did stagnation. Taking the time to slowly clean and cleanse the space helped to refresh the energy and revitalize my spirit.
A friend of mine, Megs (Prairie), recently reminded me that I’m not alone when I have feelings of inadequacy in regard to my practice and my knowledge. She left me with the quote that is also the title of this episode: Comparison is the thief of joy. I wanted to share my thoughts with you, the things that I know but that don’t stop me from comparing myself to others. This episode is a sort of pep talk for myself and others that might struggle with this, too. So thank you, Megs, for the reminder!
One of the most common celestial bodies that modern witches follow is the moon. Throughout history, the moon has played a very large role in pagan faiths and the lives of everyday people. There are many legends and mythological stories that hold the moon as a central figure either as a deity, a divine figure, or a guiding light. In Greek mythology, Selene is a Titan Goddess of the moon. In Norse mythology, Máni is a God of the Moon. There is no one Irish deity associated with the moon, though many have an association with light in general.

Anyway, if you want to know how I make incense sticks with makko powder, you can check out … Read more
I may be a bit cynical about greenwashing, eco-friendly marketing, and how corporations deal with Earth Day. It’s the one day out of the year where everyone pretends to care about the planet, the one day where people pledge to use less single-use plastics, where people pledge to reduce their carbon footprint, and where companies … Read more
