Face Scrubby Finger Glove [FREE PATTERN]

,

I had this idea in my head of a face scrubby that was eco-friendly (not made of silicone) that I didn’t have to hold onto while using. Thus, I came up with this cute and simple little design for a finger glove face scrubby! The pattern is made with 100% cotton yarn so that it is water-safe and actually works with facewash and soap. The double crochet clusters give it a few puffs for the scrub effect, and the glove part makes it easy to use and hold onto.

The finished scrubby measures approximately 3 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide at the top. The bottom hole measures approximately 2 inches wide.

Thank you to all my pattern testers!

To Start: ch7

Row 2: 2sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (7sc)

Row 7: 2sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (12sc)

Row 8: 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (12sc)

To do the double crochet clusters…
YO insert hook YO and pull up a loop, YO and pull through two loops, repeat ** two more times in the same stitch, YO and pull through remaining 4 loops.

Row 9: 1sc in 1st st, 1 dc cl next st, 1 sc in next 2 st, 1 dc cl next st – repeat between * 3 more times, 1 sc next st, ch1, turn (4dc cl, 8sc) – this will be the inside when you sew up your scrubby so the puffs will push out away from you

Row 10-13: repeat rows 8 and 9 twice

Row 14-22: 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (12sc)

Row 23: sc2tog in 1st 2st, 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (11sc)

Row 24: sc2tog in 1st 2st, 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (10sc)

Row 27: sc2tog in 1st 2st, 1 sc in each st across, ch1, turn (7sc)

Row 28: sc2tog in 1st 2st, 1 sc in each st across, fasten off (6sc)

Optional ending to row 28: before fastening off, chain 10, sl st in the same st to form a ring, then fasten off. This creates an optional loop for hanging your scrubby in the shower, bathroom, or wherever you store it.

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Fold the piece in half with wrong side out (bobbles inside). Sew up one side, weave yarn across fold, and sew down the other side. Leave an opening at the bottom for your fingers. Fasten off and weave in the ends, then turn right side out!
