Welcome!

When you search online for witchcraft or pagan content, you often find a lot of tutorials, educational information, and guides. All of that is great considering how accessible witchcraft and paganism have become in the last 30 years, especially with the rise of the internet. What you don’t see often, though, is a witch’s real life. It’s hard to find blogs and videos from a witch just detailing what they go through, what’s on their mind, and how they live their lives both as a witch and a person.

I hope to change that! Here ’round the cauldron, you’ll find educational content and guides, but you’ll also find my personal blog posts. You’ll find information about crochet (and patterns!), parenting, and mental health. There is more to me than my practice, and I am more than just a witch.

So hello, my name is Megan – it’s nice to meet you!

I have been a pagan witch for more than 15 years, bouncing from one practice to another until I found something that felt like home. I’m also a mother, an AuDHDer, a partner, and so much more!

  • What makes an altar?

I was sitting at my altar this morning, just for a few minutes, taking a quiet moment to myself before I left for work. It occurred to me that my altar doesn’t look how I wished it would, but that’s ok. There’s a lot of extenuating circumstances around my altar and why it looks the…

  • Yule 2018 – Finding our Tree

This past weekend, we went on an adventure. Here in Central Oregon you have the ability to purchase a permit to go cut your own tree down rather than paying the $50-ish dollars for the ones they bring in specifically to sell. So, that’s what we did!

  • Creating a Consistent Practice

We’ve all been there, in the time when you have no time. When life gets too hectic for you to keep your wits about you, let alone practice your faith. When each tick of the second hand on the clock is a reminder that you’re running out of time, and your to-do list just keeps…

  • Tarot: The Fool’s Journey

The Major Arcana in tarot can be seen as a metaphor for life, with each of the 22 cards representing a major event/person/situation that we may experience on the physical plane. There’s a reason that the major arcana cards are called trump cards, and that’s because when they are pulled in a reading, they are…

Tarot: Top 5 Things to Know

If you’ve grown up with any amount of pop-culture in your life, you’re probably familiar with the image of the woman dressed to the nines, headscarf and all, sitting behind a little wooden table with her crystal ball and tarot cards. Let me be honest with you. That’s so far from the truth of reading…

Balancing Act: Making Time when Life gets Chaotic

It’s part of modern life, running out of time. Sometimes it seems like we have a million things to do every single day and never enough time to do it. I’ll use myself as an example. I work a “typical” job with a schedule from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. I get two 15 minute breaks…

  • Hot Air Balloons: A Metaphor for Life?

Recently, we went to the Bacon, Brews, and Balloons Festival here in Redmond, Oregon, and a thought struck me as I watched these hot air balloons inflate. I was also thinking about how scary it would be (for me, at least) to be up in a hot air balloon. Think about it, though. You can’t…
