Witchy Dates to Remember – July 2025
Hello friends, and welcome to June!
I hope you all had a wonderful Solstice and a happy start to July! I know this post is a little late – if you’re subscribed to my newsletter, you’d know that I’ve been pretty busy. Better late than never, though! Here are some dates you might want to know about for July.
July 10, 2025 – Full Moon in Capricorn
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Full Moon for July is commonly called the Full Buck Moon. During July, the antlers of male deer are in their growing period. Since male deer lose their antlers every year, watching when their antlers begin to return can let you know when we’ve reached Summer and the Buck Moon! This Full Moon is also in Capricorn, an Earth sign associated with balance and responsibility. We might find ourselves more drawn to practicality and focusing on our responsibilities.
July 17, 2025 – Mercury Retrograde Begins
Mercury rules over communication, travel, and technology. When Mercury is direct, these aspects of life tend to be smooth-going. However, when Mercury goes retrograde, our communication and technology can be thrown for a loop! During Mercury Retrograde, it is said that the energy of Mercury turns inward and gives us space to reflect and review how Mercury shows up in our lives.
July 24, 2025 – New Moon in Leo
A time of rest and reflection for many witches, the New Moon will be in Leo this month. Leo is a sign of pride, flamboyance, and extravagance! During this New Moon, you might find yourself pondering how your pride affects your everyday life. Do you avoid things because you’re too proud? Does your ego get in the way of your daily life? These are good questions to consider when the New Moon shows us our shadows.
July 31, 2025 – Lughnasadh (Imbolc in the S. Hemisphere)
We have finally come to another tipping point with Lughnasadh, the first of the harvest festivals. From here on out, the world will slowly die away and go dormant for the winter. We don’t have time to worry, though, because there is still plenty of daylight left! Lughnasadh is a celebration of family, friends, and the bounty of life. Bake some bread, share a meal with a friend, and enjoy the good things in your life.
I hope you have a wonderful July!
