Egg Manifestation Spell For The Spring Equinox
The Equinox approaches, and while many of the people surrounding us are gearing up to celebrate Easter, we are instead celebrating the balance between seasons. During this time, many witches in the Northern Hemisphere are gathering their Springtime decorations, covering their altars with colors, and inviting the joy and abundance of the fertile earth into their homes!
I wanted to share this spell with you that works perfectly for the Spring Equinox. I wrote it a couple of years ago for the virtual coven over at Spells8, but I’m sharing it here, too, with some updates. This spell is perfect for vegans who still want the Egg symbolism, those who can’t have eggs, and parents who want to include their children in their spellwork. Why? Because you’re going to be coloring an egg and hanging it up in your house for decoration!
The Symbolism of Eggs In Magic
Eggs and egg symbolism are abundant in the Spring, both leading up to the Spring Equinox (also called Ostara on the Wheel of the Year) and Easter. Eggs hold great symbology during Spring! They are a symbol of fertility, protection, creation, and abundance. These strong themes play out around us in the Northern Hemisphere as the seasons shift. The birds return to the nest and sing their songs to us, reminding us that warmer days are just around the corner.

An Egg Ritual For Manifestation
I wrote this simple spell based on an activity I did with my daughter a few years ago. Instead of dying eggs and potentially wasting them, we took to the drawing board with our crayons instead. This spell is meant to be a symbolic reminder of your goals and a work of sympathetic magic to help boost your progress to get you there!
You will need…
- the egg printable (see below)
- three different colors of crayon, marker, pencil, etc.
- you can use more if you need to, but I like to keep things simple
Step One: Print The Printable
This printed egg is the representation of the growth you want to achieve. It has been “decorated” with different designs that will be colored in based on your goals. If you don’t have a printer or you would rather draw your own egg, that is okay, too! Just be sure you have the egg because that symbology is important for this spell.
Step Two: Choose Your Colors And Goals
I have found that this spell works best if you focus on no more than three goals at a time. Three is just an all-around good number in magic! Keeping the focus of your goals narrower helps you be specific during the visualization process in the next step. This is an important step because being specific in our spellwork means we know exactly what we want.
It is also important to keep each goal positive. Remember, we are manifesting and inviting in growth with the Spring Equinox. We aren’t banishing things, here! If your goal involves getting rid of something, focus instead on what you want to replace it with. For example, if you have a goal of cutting out sugar from your diet, turn that goal around and instead focus on eating more vegetables or fiber; invite things into your life rather than banish things from it.
When you know what your goals are, choose a color that corresponds with each one. This helps tie the coloring process to the manifestation process. The colors don’t need to match the intention of your goal, either. Once you choose the color for your goals, those colors become tied to your intention anyway.
Step Three: Color The Egg
If you have the time for it, ground and center yourself to prepare for the spell. You might find it helpful to meditate ahead of time, too. However, it isn’t necessary at all. Get yourself in the right mood for the spell in whatever way you want. This includes lighting a Spring-scented candle, listening to nature sounds, or choosing some uplifting spellcasting music.
There are no specific words to be said during this spell, but if you feel called to do so, you can create a chant or say a prayer as you color the image. Focus on one goal at a time, choosing to color with only that color until you’re ready to move on to the next one. For each goal, visualize yourself reaching these goals in as much detail as possible. If you struggle to visualize, that’s okay — this can look like describing it in detail, imagining what it will feel like when you reach your goals, or thinking about how you will achieve your goals. Do this for each color you’ve chosen, carrying the visualization of each goal with you.
Step Four: Find A Spot
Now that the egg is finished, it’s time to put it up somewhere in your home! You can place it on your altar, hang it by your front door, or keep it next to your bed. The important thing is that it should be placed somewhere for you to see every day. Though you may end up forgetting what each color means, having the visual representation of your goals in front of you helps in the manifestation of those goals! So, set the egg up somewhere and let the symbology of the egg and the sympathetic magic help you reach the goals you’ve set for yourself!
